GETTING STARTED

How do I use the Earth Care Worker Center?

Scroll through the page and choose the tools, training, and opportunities that interest you. You can create a digital business card, build a professional profile, take free trade classes, use business tools, join Worker Groups, and explore opportunities on six independent third-party Worker Boards.

You can also complete S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. training and certification to become eligible to apply for qualifying Earth Care Platform Jobs when available. There is no required order. Use the resources that support your goals and return anytime.

What should I do after paying the sign-up fee?

Your next step is up to you. You can download your digital gear, create a professional profile, explore the Worker Boards and Groups, take a class, or begin S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. training. You do not have to use every resource.

Why can I get started so quickly?

Worker Boards and Worker Groups are available after sign-up. You can explore these third-party opportunities without completing Earth Care training first. Official Earth Care Platform Jobs require training, certification, and onboarding.

TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

Do I have to complete the training?

Only if you want to qualify for official Earth Care Platform Jobs. You can use the Worker Boards, Worker Groups, business tools, digital gear, and other available resources without completing the training. You can train later if you choose.

​

Is Earth Care training free?

Yes. Earth Care offers a free training path, including the option to complete a short phone test with our HR team for certification. Two paid Udemy courses are also available as optional ways to complete the training material faster. You do not have to buy a course to use the free path.

How many times can I take the certification test?

You can retake the test as many times as needed until you pass.

​

What does S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. training cover?

The training helps you develop skills you can use on Earth Care projects, with your own clients, or in other trade careers. Topics include client communication, professionalism, time management, safety, eco-conscious work practices, AI tools, estimating, pricing, financial literacy, branding, and networking.

The Worker Center also gives you access to professional resources such as resume templates, cover letter tools, and a PDF editor.

Why is the training important?

Training helps you communicate with clients, manage projects safely, and present yourself professionally. Completing the required training and onboarding also makes you eligible to apply for qualifying Earth Care Platform Jobs when they are available.

What happens after I finish training and onboarding?

You will complete a few final setup steps, including confirming your tools, setting your contact preferences, and choosing how far you are willing to travel for jobs. Once your setup is complete, you will receive a professional Earth Care profile within our network.

Your profile is a shareable page where you can display your S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. certification, describe your experience, add photos of past projects, and list your rates. It helps clients learn about your skills and the services you offer.

FINDING WORK

​

What is the difference between Platform Jobs, Worker Boards, and Worker Groups?

Platform Jobs come from Earth Care clients. Earth Care manages these opportunities, and eligible pros must complete the required training, certification, and onboarding.

​

Worker Boards display listings from independent third-party sources. These may include contract opportunities or longer-term employment. You explore and apply to them directly.

​

Worker Groups are community spaces where pros can network, share opportunities, and look for local leads.

You can use all three to find opportunities that fit your schedule. Only Platform Jobs are managed directly by Earth Care.

I want to work now. Can I skip training for the moment?

Yes. You can explore Worker Boards and Worker Groups now and complete Earth Care certification later.

Jobs found through these third-party sources are not Earth Care-certified jobs. Earth Care does not assign or guarantee them. You arrange payment, scheduling, and job terms directly with the person or company posting the opportunity. Earth Care does not handle payment or disputes for third-party work.

When you are ready to pursue official Earth Care Platform Jobs, complete the required training, certification, and onboarding.

UNIFORMS AND DIGITAL GEAR

Do I have to wear an Earth Care uniform?

No. Wearing Earth Care gear is optional. You may wear your own work attire, display your own company logo, and build your personal brand while taking Earth Care jobs.

​

The Earth Care shirt design, badge, and patch are available if you want to use them. Your choice of work attire does not change the opportunities or support available to you.

​

When will I receive my badge and uniform items?

Your Pro Badge and uniform design files are digital downloads available through the Worker Center. Physical uniforms and badges are not shipped. You can download the files and arrange printing in the style, size, and material you prefer.

​
